Change in COVID-19 Alert Level

12 August 2020

As of 12pm today, Auckland is at Alert Level 3 and the rest of the country is at Alert Level 2.

This means that our COVID-19 standards and guidance are back in force.

For Auckland veterinarians, the Level 3 standards and guidance apply, including that non-essential work can be undertaken but only if it can be done safely. This means measures must be taken to keep staff and customers safe, including limiting face to face contact. For more details, see the Principles for operating at Alert Level 3 on our COVID-19 page.

For the rest of New Zealand, veterinary businesses can continue to operate with a full range of services provided appropriate measures are taken including contact registers. Some extensions to the normal rules on telemedicine apply, as set out in our statement on authorising at Alert Level 2.

Keep safe and please contact us if you have any questions.
