This is just a quick update to our email on Friday. Applications are open for exemptions to cross the alert level border, which will operate south of Auckland from 11:59pm Tuesday. You can read about the process and make an application
here.
If you would like assistance in making an application (e.g. a steer on whether you have a strong enough case), you can contact us or the NZVA. In general terms, we believe that, to be successful, applications will need to make a compelling case that there is a genuine need in terms of animal welfare or food production that cannot be delayed, that all reasonable alternatives have been considered (such as referral, telemedicine, etc) and that appropriate measures will be taken to manage risk.
