Animal Ethics Committee approvals

Resources have been compiled to assist veterinarians who need Animal Ethics Committee (AEC) approval for the work they are doing. 

The resources include:

1.      AEC approval guidance flowcharts
2.      Health Research Council Ethics Guidelines to check if your work also requires Human Ethics Committee approval
3.      An abstract for a presentation about AEC approvals from a recent NZVA conference

These will provide a good starting point for veterinarians to feel more informed about the process for research, testing and teaching involving animals.
